BSA signs up to become Disability Confident

26 Sep 2017

The Business Services Association (BSA) has been confirmed as a Disability Confident Committed employer by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).

Disability Confident is a voluntary government scheme designed to encourage employers to promote inclusive employment practices to recruit and retain disabled workers.

As a Disability Confident Committed Employer the BSA has committed to a number of actions, including ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible, and communicating and promoting vacancies.

Currently, over half of BSA Full Members have signed up to Disability Confident and many have already achieved Disability Confident Leader status. The BSA will continue to highlight the benefits of the scheme to members and encourage as many to sign up as possible.

Commenting on the accreditation, BSA Chief Executive Mark Fox said: “We are pleased to support this important initiative. Penny Mordaunt M.P. is doing much good work in this area and we will continue to work closely with the Minister and her team at DWP.”
