BSA Chief Executive Mark Fox has written to the Chancellor today regarding the furlough scheme and suppler relief. Read the letter here.
In response to Covid-19, and for a temporary period, the Business Services Association’s Apprenticeships, Skills and Training Group proposes that Levy funds should be able to be spent on courses that are shorter than 12 months.
The BSA has submitted the following feedback to the five BEIS task forces on economic recovery.
This includes a letter to Business Secretary Alok Sharma from the BSA Chief Executive Mark Fox.

The BSA has produced a paper setting out the challenges and opportunities members have identified in the short and medium term, as the economy sets out on its recovery journey.
The BSA welcomes the Government’s publication of the roadmap and the working safely guidance. However, we urge the Government to work more closely with business and the VCSE sector to ensure a smooth re-engagement in delivery of public and private services.

The Crown Prosecution Service have produced a useful practical guide as to what might and what might not constitute a ‘reasonable excuse’ to leave the place where individual’s love, which the NPCC have reproduced to help police officers. It notes, however, that each case still needs to be considered based on the individual facts as they present themselves.
