CASE STUDY: SEETEC
Seetec’s growth mission for people, employers and places.
Employers play a vital role in driving economic growth, yet many face challenges attracting talent, developing leaders and accessing the specialist support needed to grow.
Supporting employers to thrive isn’t just good for individual businesses – it’s essential for stronger local economies, better jobs and sustainable growth. Achieving that growth increasingly depends on partnerships that bring together employers and communities.
Strong partnerships create value beyond the organisations involved. When employers invest in their people, businesses grow. When businesses grow, communities benefit. When more people can access and progress in work, local economies become stronger.
This connection between people, employers and places sits at the heart of Seetec’s approach to supporting employers and driving sustainable growth.
Partnering with CleanTEC: Developing future leaders
Seetec is often associated with helping employers attract and recruit talent, but for many businesses sustainable growth depends just as much on developing talent from within.
Seetec partners with CleanTEC, an employee-owned contract cleaning and facilities service business. As a fellow employee-owned organisation, Seetec has been uniquely placed to support the creation of a bespoke Management Development Academy to create leadership capability.
One of CleanTEC’s core principles is to promote from within; this is a clear benefit to the employee owners. Alongside leadership development, Seetec’s workforce planning expertise helps CleanTEC maximise investment in its people and create clear progression pathways. The pair of socially centred companies even went on to explore levy gifting to small community organisations, for further social impact and value.
The partnership is helping to bring in and retain the right employee owners. Individuals develop the skills needed to progress their careers while ensuring the business has the leadership capability required for future growth.
Supporting SMEs to access a richer talent pool
Seetec worked with Singer Instruments, the South Wales-based manufacturer of specialist scientific instrumentation, to support its accreditation as a Disability Confident employer.
The process helped Singer Instruments review and develop its recruitment practices, to attract and support disabled candidates and widen access to talent that might otherwise be missed.
For a specialist manufacturer operating in a competitive market, inclusive recruitment is not simply about social value, but also unlocking increased productivity, better retention, loyalty, and brand integrity.
Put simply, it’s better business for people, employers and places.
Supporting growth in local economies
As SMEs grow, many reach a point where specialist HR, recruitment, payroll, IT and cyber expertise becomes essential but remains difficult to access in-house.
Through Tribal Business Solutions, Seetec now provides these services to SMEs looking to scale sustainably. Tribal focuses particularly on organisations employing between eight and 100 people, providing access to expertise that can often be difficult for smaller businesses to secure independently.
Since becoming part of the Seetec Group, Tribal has achieved a 94% customer retention rate and a 4.9 out of 5 customer satisfaction rating, demonstrating the value businesses place on practical, employer-focused support.
By helping employers improve workforce planning, compliance and organisational capability, Tribal supports job creation, business growth and more resilient local labour markets.
Creating shared value
The strongest partnerships deliver benefits beyond individual organisations.
CleanTEC’s investment in future leaders, Singer Instruments’ commitment to inclusive recruitment, and Tribal’s support for growing businesses all demonstrate the same Seetec-backed principle: when employers invest in people, they create value that extends far beyond the workplace.
Seetec’s approach recognises the critical role SMEs play in local economies. Partnerships are not viewed simply as commercial transactions, but as opportunities to generate wider impact.
By working together, we create value in all directions: helping people progress, employers grow and communities prosper.
