The BSA believes Levy funds should be directly linked to apprenticeships or other employer-led training routes, in keeping with its rationale. The BSA has responded to the National Infrastructure Commission’s call for evidence on what should be it’s next specific study. The submission calls for a detailed analysis of skills in the UK construction sector, examining what workers are needed when for the delivery of specific major projects. With many major works scheduled to come online simultaneously in the next few decades, HS2, Hinkley Point, Crossrail 2 and Heathrow Expansion to name but a few,  it would be useful for contractors to understand where best to focus their training resources.
