Commenting on the Spring Statement 2025 Mark Fox said:
“The Chancellor has delivered a tough but practical Spring Statement responding to the very different circumstances in which she delivered her budget only five months ago.
The Chancellor is right to try and encourage business and enterprise.
The Chancellor is right to seek productivity and efficiency opportunities across the public sector.
Britain’s historically high levels of national debt, national borrowing, and national taxation, combined with the continuing stagnation in productivity, presents a continuing challenge which will need ongoing robust action.”
